Mr. Avery is a most gifted artist. In addition to being an accomplished pianist, Mr. Avery produces live solo jazz performances, jazz trio performances, parties and corporate functions, serves in the music and arts worship ministry, teaches jazz piano, vocally produces/coaches singers & produce music tracks, transcribes/scores original music.
A native of Arlington, VA/Washington, DC/Baltimore areas. He’s a graduate of Howard University with a B.A in English and has completed minor studies in Fine Arts with concentration on Classical and Jazz Piano. He has studied commercial acting and scene study in New York with various casting directors via TVI Actors Studio. Martino began singing with the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar D.C. Chapter at the age of 14. He also began directing shortly thereafter. This has led him to train and teach several community and church choirs, ensembles and soloists throughout his region. He has served as a church organist/pianist, musical director and Sign Language interpreter for several years at his Washington, DC home church. Martino has relocated to the Atlanta area to pursue entertainment as a full time career with focus on music and vocal production.
